Originally, becoming-magazine was intended to be a printed magazine, and we printed a prototypal issue that we called "issue Zero", it was a test, and it was a lot of fun. Since then, a lot has changed, and the plan for becoming-magazine has evolved a lot, and it is going to take some time to get it to where it may be able to reach. So for now we have converted becoming magazine into a fully digital magazine. This way, we can continue to publish without any limitations while we reconfigure the scope of the project.
On this version of becoming-magazine built in Sandpoints, we will be grouping articles together in phases, publishing as an when something is to be said. Head over to becoming-magazine.com/ for the other half of the experience, and hit up instagram for a redacted auxilliary channel.
This issue then, is articles that have been published since June 2022, in a phase of reflecting on the notion of come downs, and the different forms of pressure exerted on the nervous system, from literal hangovers, to cultural guilt, and evolutionary fear.
